In 1997 Intel faced the challenge of expanding its operations in Costa Rica. Sprung Instant Structures (SIS) was the solution of choice as they needed an economical and flexible alternative that would allow them to fulfill their need for office space in a timely fashion.
As a result, Intel leased an 88? 7? wide x 360? long (27m x 109m) structure in 1997 and exercised their option to purchase the structure a year later. After 9 years of using the Sprung Structure as an office building, in early 2006, Intel dismantled this structure and used part of it to build a lunch room/cafeteria featuring a modern design for their employees. Intel has benefited greatly from the innovation, versatility, and reliability that Sprung structures provide.
